About the Ottawa Gymnastics Centre
Established in 1960, the Ottawa Gymnastics Centre is the oldest operating not-for-profit gymnastics organization in Canada.
Located in the Westboro neighbourhood, we have an annual membership of over 3,000, with programs running during the day, evening and on weekends.
Our mission is to inspire enthusiasm for and lifelong involvement in gymnastics, and we strive to provide an environment, facility and coaching that will allow all participants to achieve their best.
We’ve produced many provincial and national champions, not to mention several Canadian Olympic team athletes and coaches.
We are a registered HighFive organization and believe strongly in the principles of healthy child development.

About our programs
The Ottawa Gymnastics Centre offers a diverse selection of programming – from the GymBabies interactive program that involves parents/caregivers, through children’s early years, into recreational, developmental and competitive men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics, adult drop-in, trampoline and more.
As one of the core activities Sport Canada says every child should participate in, gymnastics is the ideal sport to teach skills for life, including focus, self discipline and determination, which are attributed to self-esteem, mental and physical development.
Other positive benefits from our programs include creating healthy minds and bodies by developing strength and training the body for life’s challenges, improving agility and coordination to allow the body to move quickly, teaching posture and positive body image, challenging the body and mind to set and reach goals, preparing them for other sport endeavours and promoting an active lifestyle.
A philosophy we follow is: We teach children not skills.
