About our summer camps
Choose tennis, sailing, rowing/paddling, or two of these sports for full days, half days, one week or two. For all skill levels.
TENNIS: For Beginner and Intermediate, Ages 7 to 16. Every camper learns stroke basics, game strategy, footwork, sportsmanship and receives an ONEC day camp tshirt. The camp is run in a safe and structured environment by responsible and mature tennis instructors.
ONEC’s day camps are a great way to get your child interested in tennis or to build on the skills they already possess. Campers are assessed on the first day and grouped according to level of play.
Off-Court Activities: Even Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams don’t play tennis all the day long. At ONEC, we offer structured off-court activities that complement the tennis program every morning and afternoon. Activities include Frisbee golf, capture the flag, and other forms of active and quiet play.
SAILING: Sail Canada CANSail 1 to CANSail 4, Ages 9 to 16. ONEC operates a sailing camp for youth between the ages of 9 and 16. The students receive quality instruction stressing safety, fun, and learning. They are introduced to many different elements of sailing, safety practices, and seamanship. They will develop new skills in boat handling and sailing for both fun and competition.
Sail Canada-certified instructors teach trainees, and successful trainees receive Sail Canada certificates from CANSail 1 to CANSail 4. We emphasize safety and low student-to-instructor ratios in accordance with Sail Canada guidelines. With our flexible week-to-week program, your child can move up through the levels as the summer progresses.
ROWING & PADDLING: For Beginner and Intermediate, Ages 11 to 17. This summer get your child out on the water at an Ottawa New Edinburgh Rowing and Paddling Summer Day Camps!
He or she will have fun learning a new sport (or improve on the skills learned last year), discover the amazing Ottawa River, and make new friends! Day campers are taught by trained coaches. Both programs provide achievement certificates.
New this year! Learn how to paddle a brigade canoe! Brigade canoes are similar to the large voyageur canoes which opened up the Canadian waterways. Brigade canoeing and quad sculling build teamwork.

The historic boathouse is located just off the banks of the Ottawa River, and our red clay tennis courts are set amid the greenery just off the Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway.

Rowing – Offering a variety of rowing opportunities for members using club owned boats as well as providing space for privately-owned boats.
Sailing – Providing sailing and instruction for members on club owned boats and mooring for privately owned boats. Use of club owned boats by certified members is included with membership.
Social – Prefer to just enjoy our facilities without the sports? There are great opportunities for social members to participate in events or just hang out on the tennis pavilion or boathouse decks.
