ABOUT OUR SUMMER CAMPS
The Summer Youth Crew Day Program is a great way for boys and girls ages 12-17 to learn about rowing and decide whether to take up the sport more seriously. For those who have already tried and enjoyed rowing, camp is a way to improve their skills!
This program runs in week-long sessions during July and August from 8:30am-3:30pm, except on public holidays. The program is directed by experienced rowers and coaches who are qualified in first aid and CPR.
Rowers get out on the Ottawa River daily, and learn water safety, boat rigging and maintenance. The program also features other age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities.
Weeks of July 5-9, 12-16, 19-23, 26-30, August 9-13, & 16-20, 2021.

ABOUT OTTAWA ROWING CLUB
The Ottawa Rowing Club celebrated 150 years of good people doing good things in 2017!
The Ottawa Rowing Club is Canada’s oldest rowing club, founded in 1867, the year Canada was created. The ORC’s first patron was Canada’s first Prime Minister Sir John A. Macdonald!
As well as being Canada’s oldest rowing club, the ORC is also one of the country’s largest with close to 1,000 members. The ORC offers programs for everyone from competitive junior, senior, adaptive and masters athletes, university and high school rowers, recreational rowers of all skills levels, an adult rowing league, a popular learn-to-row program and a summer camp for youth.
In addition to our main boathouse which the ORC operates, the ORC also maintains our original clubhouse as an Interpretive Centre that chronicles the history of the ORC. It was rebuilt as a Millennium project and is rented by the public regularly throughout the spring, summer and fall for weddings, banquets and other corporate events and special occasions.
