Ottawa Rowing Club
As well as being Canada’s oldest rowing club, the ORC is also one of the country’s largest with close to 1,000 members. The ORC offers programs for everyone from competitive junior, senior, adaptive and masters athletes, university and high school rowers, recreational rowers of all skills levels, an adult rowing league, a popular learn-to-row program and a summer camp for youth.
Tennis For Life Ottawa
Nick Patterson has been spreading the love of tennis for over 35 years in the nation’s capital, coaching countless players from age 4 up to age 80 at various local clubs. He’s also introduced the sport to thousands more through a tennis in school program and is a volunteer coach at Glebe Collegiate Institute. On top of his club pro 1 coaching certification from the Tennis Canada-backed Tennis Professionals Association, Patterson is also certified to teach cardio tennis, which combines aerobics with a tennis lesson. Getting a good workout is a guarantee. Patterson ensures no time is wasted standing around, employing drills that keep players moving, and adding a fitness component to each session, including relay races for youth. It’s all about developing a love of sport that will last a lifetime.

Ottawa's only full-time table tennis club! Ottawa Table Tennis Club is not the first table tennis club in Ottawa, nor are they the biggest—yet. But we are the only one open from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. Geng Table Tennis Academy
Excellence. Hard Work. Determination.
Geng Table Tennis Academy is an elite table tennis club led by coaches Lijuan Geng and Horatio Pintea. Geng is a 4-time world champion and former World #1 with the Chinese and Canadian national teams. She competed at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic games. After retiring from table tennis, Geng's passion for the sport drove her to create Geng Table Tennis Academy.
Royal City Soccer Club
2017 marks the 25th year of Royal City Soccer Club summer programs! Since its inaugural season in 1993, Royal City Soccer Club has provided thousands of positive soccer camp experiences to boys and girls at all levels of soccer. From its origins in Guelph, RCSC has spread from Ontario to become a national program. By popular demand, RCSC camps are now in over 100 distinct locations across the country!
At Kanata GymnoSphere the club views gymnastics as more than a sport. They see it as an opportunity to work on essential skills like teamwork, performance, determination, and perseverance. Kanata Gymnosphere offers an array of programming including KinderGym, recreational classes, private instruction, and competitive training.
Rideau Canoe Club
The Rideau Canoe Club is a non-profit organization located in the City of Ottawa with over 100 years of history. Founded in 1902, the club was originally located on the Rideau Canal at the foot of Fifth Avenue in the Glebe. In 1947, the club reorganized and relocated to its current location at Mooney's Bay. In 1980, construction was completed on the clubhouse with cooperation of the City of Ottawa, the National Capital Commission, the Province of Ontario and Parks Canada.
Beaver Boxing Club
Beaver Boxing Club takes pride in teaching amateur, Olympic-style boxing, the sport they call the ‘Sweet Science.’ The club offers instruction to both recreational and competitive boxers. Beyond training technically adept athletes, the club provides an environment where individuals can grow physically, mentally, and personally. The coaching staff, led by two-time Canadian Champion Jill Perry, work tirelessly to promote a positive club culture that encourages hard work, leadership, and sportsmanship.
KV Dance Studio
KV Dance Studio, founded in 2014 by Kailena Van de Nes, is the Glebe’s premier, dance studio. KV Dance offers classes in a range of disciplines and hosts both recreational and competitive classes making the studio a welcoming setting for all levels of dancer from beginners to the more advanced and experienced. At KV Dance an emphasis is placed on creating an inclusive, supportive environment where dancers can receive high-level dance instruction while also making friends, gaining confidence, and learning important teamwork skills.
Capital City Dance
Having been in business for almost 10 years, Capital City Dance offers the Ottawa community a studio where members can learn to dance, make new friends, and gain confidence. Founded by Mike Falcucci and Gabriel Wolinsky, Capital City Dance boasts numerous professional teachers that take a positive and nurturing approach to instruction. Capital City Dance offers classes in a wide variety of styles including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, and acro. Recently, Capital City Dance was recognized as the 2017 Top Choice Awards Top Dance Studio in Ottawa, this is their 4th time winning this award.
Ottawa Lions Track and Field Club
The Ottawa Lions Track and Field Club is the largest track and field club in Canada. The club has adopted a comprehensive approach to sport that includes a philosophy of ‘sport for all, no matter the age, no matter the aspiration.’ Founded in 1973 by Bob Staveley, the Ottawa Lions Club has grown to become much more than a traditional track and field club.
Olympia Gymnastics was founded in 2005 by Dezso Mesko, a Romanian-born former physical education teacher. Located on Iber Rd., Olympia has built a strong connection with surrounding communities such as Kanata, Stittsville, Richmond and Carp. There is a family feel to the centre that began as a very small club and still offers a homey, intimate feel. Many athletes who began as gymnasts have gone on to coach at the club, and serve as role models for the younger generation in the community. Now featuring an expanded facility, Olympia offers a full set of apparatuses in a bright atmosphere that is ready to serve gymnasts of all ages and abilities.
Gloucester Griffins Lacrosse
Gloucester Griffins Minor Lacrosse is all about raising awareness for the sport of lacrosse... the fastest game on two feet! Founded in 1970, Gloucester Lacrosse offers House League & Competitive Box Lacrosse Programs for Boys & Girls Age 3-21. The sport of lacrosse is a combination of basketball, soccer and hockey. Anyone can play lacrosse - big or small. The game requires and rewards coordination and agility, not brawn. Quickness and speed are two highly prized qualities in lacrosse. Canada’s national summer sport, lacrosse is fast-paced and exhilarating. Abrupt starts and stops, precision passes and quick shots are all routine in action-packed men's and women's lacrosse.
Bytown Storm Triathlon Club
The Bytown Storm Triathlon Club’s mission is to develop a passion for an active healthy lifestyle through systematic and progressive sport-specific programs that encourage fair play, equality, good sportsmanship and the pursuit of personal excellence through sport. We believe that all athletes regardless of age need to develop the proper skill sets in order to achieve their potential. "Technique will determine how far your fitness will take you" is one of Coach Greg Kealey’s favourite sayings. We develop all athletes based on this ethos. Our Provincial, National and International-level athletes will have developed a large "vocabulary" of skill sets that enable them to compete in the most challenging of environments. We encourage our athletes to be patient and persistent. This approach has proven valuable for a number of Storm athletes who have gone on to compete at the highest level in ITU world championships.

Capital Wave Water Polo Club
Capital Wave Water Polo Club aims to give athletes the opportunity to develop a positive self-image, achieve physical and mental strength, and attain goals through competitive and recreational water polo. Water polo is universally recognized as one of the most demanding team sports for developing well-rounded, physically fit athletes in both strength and endurance. We work with athletes to support their individual achievement in the sport, allowing them to strive for their 'personal best' both in and out of the pool. Our not-for-profit club fosters self-discipline, mutual respect, acceptance, and tolerance among coaches, athletes, parents, and volunteers. Strong coaching is integral to achieving our vision. We have a full time dedicated Head Coach who oversees all of the programs and personally follows the progress of all athletes to help them reach their full potential. We focus on long term athlete development and team spirit, while promoting health, safety, proper diet, and good lifestyle choices through our training. Ottawa National Diving Club
The Ottawa National Diving Club is a not-for-profit organization fully sanctioned by Dive Ontario and Dive Canada. Our mission is to inspire excellence in the sport of diving by providing high quality programs suitable for athletes of all levels and backgrounds. With the city’s greatest number of certified coaching staff, for every skill level, we provide the highest quality coaching with low participant-to-coach ratios and individualized training. Our staff pride themselves on fostering individual growth while maintaining a healthy balance of sport and fun in a safe environment. Since our creation in 2007, our club has continued to grow more and more each year – both in terms of number of members and in accomplishments, with many of our young athletes already rising to the top of their age groups in the sport’s highest levels.
Carleton University Junior Ravens
Carleton University’s Junior Ravens program gives young players the opportunity to work with the Carleton Ravens varsity coaches and players in a range of development programs in four different sports: basketball, football, fencing and soccer. The programs concentrate on developing fundamental skills and techniques to lay the foundations for more advanced learning in the future. Each program takes place in the Ravens athletics centre and facilities – some of the city’s premiere venues. Programs deliver age-appropriate graduated skill development, while participants have fun staying fit and making friends.
Kanata Rhythmic Gymnastics Club
The first rhythmic club in Eastern Ontario and one of the longest established gymnastics clubs in Canada, the Kanata Rhythmic Gymnastics Club recently celebrated our 40th anniversary. We are proud that many of our members in our earlier years are now bringing their daughters to enjoy the many benefits of our sport, including the development of a positive attitude towards physical activity through fun, active participation, and the development of hand-eye coordination, concentration and body movement. Officially recognized by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport’s club excellence program, KRSG is a non-profit, community organization run by volunteers, with professional coaches certified by Gymnastics Ontario.
Ottawa Gymnastics Centre
Established in 1960, the Ottawa Gymnastics Centre is the oldest operating not-for-profit gymnastics organization in Canada Located in the Westboro neighbourhood, we have an annual membership of over 3,000, with programs running during the day, evening and on weekends. Our mission is to inspire enthusiasm for and lifelong involvement in gymnastics, and we strive to provide an environment, facility and coaching that will allow all participants to achieve their best. We’ve produced many provincial and national champions, not to mention several Canadian Olympic team athletes and coaches. We are a registered HighFive organization and believe strongly in the principles of healthy child development.
Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club
For 45 years, the Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club has been a pillar in our community, introducing the “beautiful game” to thousands and thousands of players and delivering quality programs to players of all ages and skill levels. Engrained in our culture thanks to consistent technical leadership under the direction of National ‘A’-Licensed Club Head Coach Boris Bajagic, we have become known as a hotbed of coaching excellence, which enhances the development of all of our members. We have a legion of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers, who have received honours for positive impact they’ve had on participants’ lives. Top Canadian national team talents such as Charmaine Hooper, Lyndon Hooper and Kristina Kiss have worn the distinctive Hotspurs red and white stripe during their careers and many alumni have gone on to outstanding careers at colleges and universities across North America. While we take pride in their achievements, we take even greater pride in the impact we’ve had on our wider community through the club’s efforts over many years.
Ottawa South United Soccer Club
With close to 7,000 members, Ottawa South United Soccer Club is the largest as well as one the most successful soccer clubs in Eastern Ontario, in Ontario and in Canada. We are devoted to fostering and providing a high-quality soccer environment in order to give all players, coaches, referees and managers every opportunity to enjoy the game of soccer and to help them achieve their maximum potential as participants in the sport. Traditionally serving communities such as Barrhaven, Nepean, Riverside South, Manotick and the rural south end, we also draw players from all of Ottawa for our renowned high-performance programs. Frequently rated as the province’s #1 Developmental Community Soccer Club, we’ve earned a reputation as a top professionally-operated and managed soccer club and are recognized as a “gold award” club by the Ontario Soccer Association’s Club Excellence Program.
Nepean Nighthawks Field Hockey Club
The Nepean Nighthawks Field Hockey Club is a community-based, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to the development of field hockey locally.
We strive to strike a balance between the development of athletes and the life-long love of sport. Our focus is on fun and participation. Whether you wish to play, coach or umpire, we have a place for you on one of our competitive or recreational teams.
Players at all levels are welcome. We are the only club in Ottawa that caters to a full range of age groups for both girls and boys. This is one of the things that our members love about the Nighthawks because it has a true “club” feel to it. Founded in 2002, we are now the fastest-growing Field Hockey Club in Ottawa and a rising force on the provincial and national stage.
Tumblers Gymnastics Centre
Tumblers Gymnastics Centre is dedicated to providing our community with the opportunity to discover, explore and embrace the sport of gymnastics in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. One of the largest in the province, Tumblers is a not-for-profit club that has operated in Orleans for 25 years. Gymnastics is one of the greatest activities to include as part of your child’s physical development. At Tumblers, we believe gymnastics is more than just a sport, it is a lifetime activity. Gymnastics promotes fitness, strength, coordination, self-esteem, and most importantly, a great deal of fun.
Dôme @ Louis-Riel
The Dôme @ Louis-Riel is a premiere destination for athletes in many sports – a training home for many of Canada’s top athletes and a recreational venue for members of the community alike. The facility features one of North America’s only 400-metre indoor tracks, a large multidisciplinary sports field with international-certified high-quality artificial grass that can be divided into three fields of 35 x 48 m, designated areas for jumps and throws, volleyball, indoor cycling, weightlifting and physiotherapy, plus four locker rooms and free parking for 270 cars.
FC Capital United Soccer Club
Capital United is an international soccer family with a good portion of our coaches and members from parts of the world that share a passion for the beautiful game. Our small club is dedicated to the sport, year round, and some even say 24-7. Most of our coaches still actively play. We provide a unique environment where children, youth, and even adults can develop the skills, technique and passion required to play the game well. One of the few in the province to be certified GOLD for club excellence, we provide high-quality coaching so that players develop and enjoy soccer to the best of their abilities.
