About our programs
The Nepean Nighthawks Field Hockey Club offers a full range of opportunities for women, girls and boys to enjoy the sport at all levels of play.
Our April to June Spring Session features U10 and U12 co-ed divisions, U14, U16 & U20 boys’ programs, U14, U16 & U18 girls’ categories, an 18+ women’s team and a moms’ learn to play session.
Our July-August Summer Session focuses on full-field games, and getting players ready for competitive play. We enter two tournaments in Toronto each year, host our own Junior Festival, play special matches against touring teams, participate in the Junior Women Provincial League, and encourage our players to reach for higher levels in the game.
Many of our members have been selected to regional, Ontario Summer Games and university teams, and two of our players lifted Canada to our country’s best international result of all-time when they won a silver medal at the 2014 Youth Olympics.
We also play an indoor version of the sport during the winter and we hold a summer camp in early July for those players who would like to develop higher level hockey skills.
About the Nepean Nighthawks Field Hockey Club
The Nepean Nighthawks Field Hockey Club is a community-based, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to the development of field hockey locally.
We strive to strike a balance between the development of athletes and the life-long love of sport. Our focus is on fun and participation. Whether you wish to play, coach or umpire, we have a place for you on one of our competitive or recreational teams.
Players at all levels are welcome. We are the only club in Ottawa that caters to a full range of age groups for both girls and boys. This is one of the things that our members love about the Nighthawks because it has a true “club” feel to it.
Founded in 2002, we are now the fastest-growing Field Hockey Club in Ottawa and a rising force on the provincial and national stage.
